Stainless steel filter cartridges are typically made entirely of 304 or 316 stainless steel, and are completely cleanable and reusable. Stainless steel filter cartridges fit most cartridge-type housings, can withstand differential pressures up to 60 psi, and have a particle retention rating as fine as 5 microns. Plus, unlike other filtration media, seals are never glued onto the cartridge ends. Instead, they are custom shaped so they hold in place just like a grommet. This added measure reduces the chances that they will become dislodged and get lost in shipping.
